Next Level of Root Canal Therapy Lecture and Hands-On Training with Dr. A. Utku Ozan, DDS, MS.
Objective:
A participating dentist should expect to learn the most
updated information on the newest NiTi rotary systems, intra-canal
vacuum techniques and diagnostic elements in Endodontics.
Course Outlines:
- Anatomical concerns and
how to locate MB2 canals.
- How to use apex locators,
comparison of newest generation Apex locators with latest x-ray
techniques.
- Principal of superior
biomechanical preparation and Activated Irrigation in Endodontics.
- Intra-canal Vacuum
Systems.
- How to cleanse the
isthmus, delta formations and lateral canals.
- Shaping and finalizing
with Newest Generation of NiTi instruments with comparison.
- Ultrasonic-Sonic flaring
and irrigation.
- Proper canal sealer
distribution, advantages of warm gutta-percha condensation, post-operative
microbial growth control mechanisms.
*Participants to bring extracted premolars with access cavity prepared.
Following setups will be a part of hands-on participating courses:
- Digital
radiography (pre-operative, mechanical preparation and post operative
x-rays comparison)
- Apex
locators
- Table
mounted dental units, for high speed and slow speed motors, vibratory and
vacuum hand pieces including files and burs.
- Electric
endodontic motors with contra angles and NiTi files
- Gutta
percha cones and paper points
- 3D
animations, video presentations and projection will be
a part of the course as well as technique DVDs.

Dr. Ozan received his D.D.S degree from Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry where he completed his residential program in 1999. He owns a group of practice, which includes teaching facility equipped for hands on lectures. His popular ‘’proven methods’’ in Endodontics have been presented nationwide here in the USA as well as internationally. Dr. Ozan has been selected in ‘’Top Hundred Clinicians’’ in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 in the USA. He has been consulting for product development and manufacturing in Endodontics as well as general dentistry. He supplements his position of being on the cutting edge of instruction and technology by attending lectures as well as dental conventions in US and internationally continually gathering and updating information on endodontic techniques and comparing them, participating and following up on clinical studies.
